Our first story is the history of U.L.O.
The Urban Lounge was created by J.Riggs, a local radio personality/d.j. for 1620 KYIZ in Seattle,Wa, most of you know him by the name “Romey Rome”. Romey has been on the air for over 9 years now, he plays the best in Neo-Soul,R&b, and hip-hop. Romey has a unique way of playing music, there is nothing like it in the Pacific Northwest, his goal is to play the cuts to help ya shake your butts on a Saturday afternoon, he helps you put some glide in your slide,some funk in your trunk, some dip in yo’ hip, while he’s sittin around holdin a spot for you on the mothership. Romey did a local talk show called “The Urban Lounge” on 1620 KYIZ, it was a unique talk show that mixed neo-soul & posititve hip-hop, with the topic of the day,now you can get a feel for what the original show was like but online.
