Hey everybody what a wild show we had Saturday, we asked the question “Who do consider to be Soul Sista #1″, so many calls so many different opinions but in the end Mary J. Blige came out on top, here are some listener comments and also check out the voting. Jennifer Lopez almost stole the voting, fans were calling from Federal Way, we had a huge upset in the making, but in the end the Mary fans put her on top.

Bill Jones in Seattle says: Mary J. because she puts it all on the line in her songs.

Shannon in Kent says: India. Arie should be considered Soul Sista # 1 because she is all about being positive, and uplifting.

I am really surprised Aretha didn’t get more votes, she is the Queen of Soul, but Mary J. Blige is a good choice she can do no wrong in my book, I have to say though Chaka Khan is still one of the baddest women to ever sing. Good Show I enjoyed it alot.

What no votes for Maraih Carey or Whitney??? Mary J. Blige is a good pick but you have to give up atleast one vote to Mariah, and who in the hell was voting for J. Lo??? J. Lo are you kidding me was she voting for herself??

My vote is for Mariah Carey, Mary J. is alright but she always singing about being hurt, at least Mariah sings up beat songs, and who in their right mind would vote for J. Lo, they must be smokin crack or something.

Great Show!!! I was happy to see that Mary J was crowned #1 Soul Sista…Her songs are full of inspiration. She sings about real life experiences…Lyrics from Good Women Down

Mary J. Blige is overated really her best album was “My Life” and that was back in the 90′s, I really don’t like her new stuff, she did better music when she was depressed, I have to say my girl Beyonce’ is Soul Sista #1 because she is unstoppable, she’s doing movies, how many movies has Mary been in?, she can act Mary acted in one BET movie and she sucked, and lets be real Mary dances like Whitney Houston, really stiff, yall should do this again I bet you Beyonce’ would win. This is really a heated debate that will go on for a long time, but we can all agree that each and everyone of the ladies have wonderful talent, and they have blessed many with their music!!

P.S. sorry we didn’t mention Ledisi….she is great!!
